Google presents Nexus S with Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Google officially announced the launch of Nexus S device that has sparked many rumors in recent weeks. The Nexus S mobile terminal becomes one of the flagships of Android, including version 2.3 - Gingerbread.


Other highlight features its Samsung Hummingbird processor to 1 GHz and their Super AMOLED screen 4 inches and curved finish that promises a better display of images even in difficult lighting situations and on the street.

The first device to browse the latest Android platform, Gingerbread, Nexus S is the first smartphone to incorporate an outline 4-inch, designed to fit comfortably in the palm of the hand. includes a Hummingbird processor 1GHz, front and rear cameras (5mpx), 16 GB internal memory, expandable via microSD, and system NFC (near field communication) that can read information from NFC tags.

Gingerbread is the fastest version of Android, and incorporates several new features and improvements in the user interface, a new keyboard, text selection tool, Internet calls (VoIP/SIP), copy/paste and recognition improved gyroscopic sensor.


Nexus S will be available in the U.S from 16 December at Best Buy stores, and from 20 December in Carphone Warehouse stores in the UK.
