Chakra GNU/Linux 0.2.0 (Jaz) has been released

The Chakra development team has announced release of version 0.2.0, code-named Jaz.

This is his first live-image available from their stable repositories.

Chakra, is based on ArchLinux and already contains over 5670 new packages.

Cinstall have created a multi-tool to create and manage packages.

Arch user feel at home from start, as most things go on like ArchLinux.

It has its own kernel patched to suit our daily needs, media and additional features as squashfs lzma support.

All packages have been recompiled for team to achieve a stable system.

Herrameintas'll all for your KDE desktop, all programs and plasmoids imaginable.

Some of them are: 

  • Bluedevil - to manage their bluetooth devices. 
  • K3B - to record data.
  • Bangarang-in to see your media or television.
  • NetworkManager - Plasmoid-to connect with world.
Other new features from previous version:
  • Kernel-2.6.33.7-2 Izma support.
  • aufs2-20100514-6
  • KDE SC 4.4.5
  • Xorg-Server 1.7.7
  • Catalyst-10.6
  • NVidia-256 and NVidia legacy series
Now stand in following languages: Catalan, German, English and Castilian.
